  • NECAC "Act of Kindness"

This photo was taken by David Samp after our Club meeting March 30th, at the NECAC office in Moberly. Our Huntsville Rotary Club partnered with the NECAC agency to enhance their “Act of Kindness” award, which is a quarterly effort to provide a simple gesture of relieving stress to less fortunate members of our community. Our Club donated $112.00 by passing the hat last week, with Rotarian Jerry Crutchfield gathering the funds to present to a needy family for a day of relaxation. This family of five will have the ability to see a movie matinee, free passes at the bowling alley, day passes at the Moberly Water Park, and meals at Burger King.

Dan Shepherd presenting a $2200 check to the Road Town Tortola Rotary Club to go towards another dialysis unit for the local hospital. They say they can take the $2200 and turn it into $15,000 with matching grants. The $2200, came from the International Fellowship of Rotary scuba divers. When we fill a boat we get so many spaces free and instead of using the free spaces we each pay the full amount with the extra given to a local charity through the local Rotary club.
